On June 15th we celebrated Emmerson's birthday at my parents gym. I planned around the gym colors and the outfit that I wanted her to wear :) So I needed to use orange (the gym is orange and black) and teal (her outfit) for sure and decided to add purple and pink to go with it. I didn't really have a theme, just those colors and some fun ideas from Pinterest. I spent a lot of time making and baking things for the party but I love planning and doing it. If only I didn't stress out the day of, trying to make sure everything is done :) The party started at 4 and we ate around 4:30. We had homemade pizzas, veggies, fruit, and chips. For dessert we had oreo pops, homemade cupcakes, and ice cream. We invited family and our small groups so there were almost 40 people. I think Emmerson had a great time because she never fussed once and was so focused on each gift she opened. It was so cute! While we sang to her she just smiled so big at everyone and when it was time to eat her cake she started slowly and kept going until it was all over. So adorable! We are so thankful for all the family and friends that came to celebrate Emmerson with us. We love this little girl so much are so blessed to have watched her grow her first year! God is good!
