4 Months

Oliver was 4 months old Sunday! At his appointment on Monday he was 18 lbs 4.8 oz., which is in the 95th percentile. He was 25 1/2 in. long, which is in the 72nd percentile. No wonder he is getting so heavy to carry around :) He is already outgrowing some of his 6 month clothes. Here are some things he loves:
  • his bumbo seat- he can sit in there forever
  • rolling from his back to his stomach and last night he rolled from his stomach to his back
  • reading books
  • sucking his fingers
  • being outside
  • going on walks
  • being tickled
  • being rocked to sleep
  • music
  • being held
  • playing with his ear while he eats
His hair is growing back in and after it is washed it is really light brown. He still has a pretty laid back personality but lets us know if he is hungry or tired. We love his smiles and watching him learn new things. Last night we had fun watching him scoot along the floor like a caterpillar. We love you Ollie!

Daddy & Ollie

He sure does love his Daddy!

Small Group

On Sunday, we had small group at Matt & Sarah's. We ended up being the only couple that could make it, but we had fun anyways! We carved pumpkins, ate delicious food, and had wonderful fellowship:) Andrew and I realized it was the first time we had carved a pumpkin together. I had fun designing ours, and Andrew did a great job carving it!

Thanks so much Matt & Sarah... it was a blast!

It's Done!

So my kitchen project is finally done besides a little touching-up and I'm still looking for a valence and a couple of other things to add a little color. I'm still trying to decide what color/colors I want to go with. I love how much bigger and fresh the room looks. It took a lot longer than I thought it would, I'm so thankful my mom came down to help a couple of times! There are a ton of other things I would have love to of done but I had my small budget and know I can still do those other things later:) So here are the before (I already took some cabinet doors off) and after pictures....

I'll try to remember to post some pictures after I add the finishing touches:)

These kids sure are blessed to have such wonderful grandparents... can't wait until there are more to try and get a picture of them all smiling :)
(notice Ollie has his fingers in his mouth... they must taste like candy because he loves them!)

Oliver in October

Oliver is getting so big! He was 16 weeks last Thursday and weighed 17lbs over a week ago. He is so fun to play with. It is so easy to get him to laugh and he loves reading books. At the beginning of the month his big thing was grabbing his toes and he still loves to do it. He almost wiggled out of his chair a couple of times... I need to start buckling him in!
Grandpa and Grandma Wiese came to visit a couple of weeks ago. We enjoyed hanging out with them and had to get a picture of Oliver and Grandma matching.
Grabbing his toes...
And now for the big news!.... Oliver can roll over from his back to his stomach! I wasn't ready with the video camera last Friday when he did it for the first time but I did get this picture afterwards. He has been doing it quite a few times since then... almost every time I lay him on his back:)
Last night I was laying on the floor by him with the computer and he just rolled right over to see what I was doing...
We also tried his bouncy swing last night. I knew he was probably a little too young but we tried it anyways. He couldn't really bounce himself but had fun. It is so crazy watching him grow and change. We love you Buddy:)
I have been taking some video and I'll try to post a couple soon!

Drew's 14th Birthday!

On the 9th we celebrated my brother, Drew, turning 14. We went up to Dad and Mom's in the afternoon. We were so excited that Brock was home from college for the weekend! Aaron, Nichole, and the kids came over and Mackenzie and Kate wanted to help decorate the cake I had made. We divided the cake in half and they each got to decorate their side. They did a great job:)
For dinner we roasted hot dogs and brats. It was perfect weather!

The boys shooting clay pigeons before dark.
Later, we made S'mores. I think Ollie is going to be a pyro like his father... he loved staring at the fire:)
Singing happy birthday to Drew.
Jake making his silly face:)
The birthday boy and Ollie.
Papa and his boys.
We had so much fun hanging out with family and celebrating Drew's birth... we love you Drew!
