Emmerson 10 Months

On Sunday Emmerson was 10 months.  Her arm is doing great and she is walking quite a bit but not too fast.  She still only has one tooth but I think she might be getting another one.  She loves her brother so much.  The first thing she does when she wakes up is try to go wake Ollie up... it is so cute :)  She is really into playing with cars and will push them on the floor.  She totally learned that from Ollie because he plays with cars all the time and she is always trying to take them from him.  She is nursing 3 times a day and will not eat baby food but does a pretty good job at eating table food.  She is signing "all done" and "more" but I don't know if she always knows what they mean :)  She usually takes 2 good naps and lately has been doing a better job of sleeping all night.  She is still wearing 6 to 12 month clothes, such a petite little girl.  She is so dramatic when she is mad or sad.  When she gets mad she puts her head between her legs and cries.  The other day she did that when she was in the tub and she came up coughing... I just had to laugh... she hasn't done it since!  She loves taking baths!  I have been horrible at taking pictures lately...

All ready for her friend's birthday party!

Playing while Grandma M was here helping me paint.
She is such a sweet little girl.  In two months you will be 1 Emmie!  Love you Baby Girl!

Easter 2013

We had a wonderful Easter, celebrating Saturday at my aunt and uncles, and Sunday after church at my parents.  Andrew didn't feel well all weekend but was a trooper and came along.  Ollie had fun dying eyes and finding eggs with his cousins...

We love spending time with family and are so thankful that Jesus not only died for our sins, but he arose from the grave!

Kiddo Update

Things have been a little crazy around here for Emmerson.  Last Sunday ( March 24th ) Emmerson got sick (sick to her stomach sick) and she fell of a chair and landed on her arm.  She just laid on me and slept all day on Monday.  In the evening she started feeling a little better and when I set her down to crawl she couldn't.  At first I thought maybe it was just because her arms were weak but then I noticed it was just the arm she fell on that she couldn't put pressure on.  We kept an eye on it and she never would crawl, not even Tuesday morning.  So Tuesday morning we went in and got her arm x-rayed and found out she has what they call a green stick fracture in her arm bone up by her shoulder.  Poor girl!  We are so thankful she didn't have to get a cast!  He said when she is ready to use it she will, and she already is!  We just need to make sure she doesn't fall on it again.  He said it will probably be around 3 weeks until it is really healed.  To top it off she got her first tooth on Monday and that wasn't too fun for either of us :)  But the exciting thing is that she took her first steps during MOPS today!  I was soooo bummed that I didn't get to see it but she did take  a couple for me after I picked her up from the nursery.  It will be so nice for her to walk outside this spring instead of crawling all over.  So yes,  a lot of changes for Emmerson lately.  In 9 days she will be 10 months!

Her 1st ponytail!

Oliver hasn't been quite so eventful which is a good thing I guess :)  He is really loving both Cars movies right now and knows all the characters names.  He asks all the time to watch Cars videos on YouTube.  He loves getting all his cars out and plays so well with them.  I pointed to my pinky the other day and asked him if he knew what it was called... he said, "Lightening McQueen"!  And my thumb was Holly Shiftwell ( the purple car from Cars 2 ) Silly boy :)  He is also obsessed with Thomas.  He chooses his Thomas book to read ALL the time and always asks to go to his cousin Jakes house to play with his train set.  He will probably be getting one for his birthday!  His latest phrase is, "Follow me," and gets mad if you don't!  He still LOVES to cuddle, run, and jump.  He is such a sweet little boy.
