22 Months

I can't believe in 2 months our baby will be 2!  He is growing up too fast.  He has been enjoying the outdoors a lot this spring.  At home he loves to play golf with his plastic golf clubs, shovel rocks into his bucket, throw disc golf discs, or swing on the neighbors swing.  He loves to jump and has even been jumping off of 2 ft high things.  He is definitely all boy!  When we go to my dad and moms he likes to ride on the lawn mower or the gator.  He loves to help Grandpa or Drew feed the tows (cows).  He has become quite the little talker and we love to hear him say new things.  He has started to enjoy coloring and even knows some of his colors.  He usually gets purple, yellow, and orange right, and sometimes other colors.  He is still taking a 2 or 3 hour afternoon nap which is wonderful.  We try to get him to bed around 8 and he sleeps till around 7.  I can't complain.  He is normally a really good eater and asks to eat cereal often :)  He is doing a very good job of understanding the concept of "if you do ____ first, then you can do___.  For example, "if you eat your food, then we can go play disc golf. " That one really did happen and worked very well :)  We love watching him grow into a little boy and pray for wisdom often as we raise him!   We love you buddy boy :)

The Zoo

On Monday my neighbor asked Ollie and I to go to the zoo with her and her two boys.  We had so much fun!  Ollie loved the animals but he may have liked the carousel and train ride the best.  We can't wait to go back.  Here are some pictures of the day (I will add a couple more she took of Ollie and I when I get them from her)...

Easter

Our Easter weekend started out with a Dr. appointment Friday morning and a stop at my Dad and Mom's so Ollie could nap before heading up to Dad and Mom Wiese's. After Ollie's nap he got to ride the gator with Dad....
and get his Easter basket from them...

Then we headed up to Andrew's parents and they watched Ollie while Andrew and I got to go on a date. It was wonderful!
Saturday we drove up with Dad and Mom to Chicago to stay at Melissa's. She is due any day so she wanted to have Easter up there. We had so much fun hanging out and the kids got to open their Easter treats from G&G...
can't wait to meet my new nephew...

later on the kids got to dye eggs...
we gave Ollie a cup of water, a cracked hard boiled egg, and a plastic egg.... he still made a mess!
Sunday morning the kids found their Easter baskets and they even had one for Ollie. I don't think he wanted to be in the high chair...
After church, Zach and Annika brought Ben over from picking him up at the airport. We were so excited to see him! We took some family pictures...

and then the kids got to have their egg hunt...

We had a wonderful Easter meal and enjoyed being outside while the boys enjoyed disc golf. On Monday the boys disc golfed all day while us girls did some shopping. Mom Wiese was so nice to watch the kids while they napped and then for a while after that! We had a blast :) Monday night we headed home... it was a late night but worth the fun. Here are Ben and Ollie at a rest stop...
So thankful for a wonderful weekend, wonderful family, and a risen Savior!

Ollie

We are just lovin' him! He has become quite the big boy in the last month and he will tell you when he wants to be "big boy". He likes to walk down the stairs by himself, get in the car and the car seat, try to put on his diaper, clothes, shoes, drink out of big cups.... he is learning just in time :) He also has started telling us "be back" while he is pointing his finger at us. It is so funny, I think he picked it up from me telling him I will be right back :)
He also asks to watch home videos of himself on the computer alllll the time...

Can you tell what he LOVES to play with?...
Dad taught him how to dip oreos in milk...
We can't believe how fast you are growing and learning! Love you Buddy :)

28 weeks

Last Thursday I was 28 weeks along. My glucose test went well and the baby's heart rate was 144. My lower back/ butt is feeling so much better thanks to physical therapy! I can now walk normal and even longer (went a mile yesterday). This week I will be starting physical therapy in the water which should be really good, except for the having to wear a swimming suit part. I'm sure it will be worth it :) Haven't gotten a belly shot lately but will try to remember this week!

Bathroom

The bathroom is finally finished... besides rugs and a curtain! Andrew did such a great job finishing everything up. Probably the most exciting purchase for the bathroom was the mirror. We really wanted a big mirror above the vanity but could not find the right size and if it was close, it was super expensive! So we were thinking we were just going to have to do two, one above each sink. Well, one day we were just browsing Goodwill and Andrew found this mirror that would be the perfect size! The only problem was that the frame was an ugly wood. I told him that I could fix that with some spray paint and if we didn't like it, we were only out $40. Once we got it home, I spray painted it brown and we love it! It fits perfectly and was only $40! Thank you Jesus!

The shower curtain is not the one that I REALLY want, but the one I REALLY want is not in our budget right now.... someday :)
I love how fresh and clean it looks and like the idea that I can easily change the decor/ color. Now to make the curtain and find some rugs...

26 weeks

So these last 3 weeks haven't been the best on my body. I really can't complain because things could be a lot worse! I have this muscle in my lower back/ butt on the right that is hurting and not allowing me to walk normal. I kinda look like and old lady when I walk. It is embarrassing to walk because I know people are thinking, "she isn't pregnant enough to walk like that", which I am not... it just hurts! So I have been to the chiropractor, which I think has helped some because I can walk now (for 2 days I honestly could hardly walk) but I really really would love to be able to GO on walks the rest of my pregnancy. I can tell that not being able to exercise is affecting me mentally, kinda depressing. So, my midwife referred me to physical therapy and my first appointment is Tuesday! I'm really hoping that it helps, or at least I can do water therapy and start getting more exercise (as much as I DO NOT want to be in a swimming suit right now, I will do it!).
Now on to better things... my appointment last week went well. The babies heartbeat was 160 and everything looked good. I measured big but probably because I just gained weight :( I am really enjoying feeling the baby move around more! My next appointment is in 2 weeks and I get to do the glucose test :( Here are some pics...
