Pumpkin Day with the Wiese's this year was wonderful. We had perfect weather, good food, and so much fun with family! Oliver loved being outside...

15 Months - First Haircut
Saturday Ollie was 15 months old. He is such a little man and we are loving his fun personality. He is understanding us very well and is "saying" some words (see below). Most of the time if we say "all done" then he is good but once in a while will throw a fit. He has been taking one afternoon nap and going to bed around 7:30-8:00 and sleeps till about 7:00. He is a very good eater most of the time but still won't drink his milk very well :(
Here are some things Ollie likes to do:
- wear hats- he won't walk out the door without a hat on
- plug cords in (which I don't LET him do)
- saying: "moooo" (cow sound), "ddd" (dog), "woah" (if he drops something), an " Idunno" sound while he holds his hands up if he can't find something, "shoos" (shoes), "ba" (ball), "hhhhh" (hot), "b00 bye" (bye bye)
- signing: all done, more (uses the more sign for "drink" too), please, thank you, and music (the sign he made up)
- throw his dirty diapers away or anything for that matter
- use his own spoon and fork to feed himself
- carry his pacifier around
- help me start the washing machine
- help me unload the dishwasher and actually does put the silverware away for me!
- watch Baby Einstein
- go on walks at the park and play on the slides and swing afterward
- help me vacuum
- pick out his own book to read
I'm sure there are many more things I am forgetting...
Here are some pictures of his first haircut he got a couple of weeks ago. It was just a trim on top because it was super stringy. I just couldn't cut his curls off!

Labor Day Weekend
On Saturday we left for Lake Rathbun for Brook's (family friend and Leah's cousin) wedding
and to see Dustin and Leah! The wedding was beautiful even though it did rain a little.

Grandma's House
Town and Country Days
The last weekend in August Andrew and Aaron went to a men's retreat with church. Ollie and I didn't want to stay home alone so we went up and stayed with Nichole and the kids. On Saturday morning we drove over to Mediapolis (where I grew up) and met mom at the Town and Country Days parade.
It was a fun weekend away but we were glad to have Andrew home on Sunday :)
Rain Barrel
On August 23rd, Ollie and I rode over to Morton, IL with Dad, Mom, and Aunt Carol to give Grandma Wuthrich her rain barrel. This is what she used before, a pan and milk jugs. The new rain barrel is to the right...
