5 Months

Our little man will be 5 months tomorrow! He can sit up for a little bit by himself but not too long. He loves sitting in his bumbo and watching whatever is going on. He is usually very content and already wants to play with things that aren't toys:)

Celebrating Mom

On Saturday we had fun celebrating my mom's 51st birthday at Aaron and Nichole's. Nichole and I made dinner and we just had fun hanging out and skyping with Dustin and Leah (we missed you too Brock!). Here is a picture with the boys and Grandma.

We had fun watching Mom open her gifts. A fun surprise were the winter dishes Dad got her. I love them!

Happy Birthday Mom!

Dad and Mom got back on Monday night, Mom's birthday! I was so glad I got to see her and celebrate with some Pumpkin Dessert:)

Pat & Liz's

On Saturday, we headed up to Iowa City for a get-together with some friends. We met at Pat & Liz's to enjoy the beautiful day!

My brother, Brock, lives just down the street so he came over before the Iowa vs. Michigan St. game. Andrew got to go to the game with his dad and watch the Hawkeye's beat the Spartans! They had a good time. FYI Andrew is still an Iowa State fan:)

While Andrew was at the game Ollie and I stayed and hung out. We had so much fun catching up with friends, going on a walk, and eating yummy food.

Watching Drew

This past week/weekend Ollie and I went up to Dad and Mom's to watch my brother, Drew, while my parents went to visit my brother, Dustin, and his wife, Leah, in Idaho. Andrew came up on Thursday night and for the weekend to be with us. Ollie and I had so much fun hanging out at Papa and Grandma's house! (It would have been even more fun if they would have been there:)

I'm pretty sure that it was the easiest baby sitting job I have ever had :) Dad and Mom had a great trip to Idaho and we can't wait to see Dustin and Leah in a couple of weeks!

4 Months

Oliver was 4 months old Sunday! At his appointment on Monday he was 18 lbs 4.8 oz., which is in the 95th percentile. He was 25 1/2 in. long, which is in the 72nd percentile. No wonder he is getting so heavy to carry around :) He is already outgrowing some of his 6 month clothes. Here are some things he loves:

• his bumbo seat- he can sit in there forever
• rolling from his back to his stomach and last night he rolled from his stomach to his back
• reading books
• sucking his fingers
• being outside
• going on walks
• being tickled
• being rocked to sleep
• music
• being held
• playing with his ear while he eats

His hair is growing back in and after it is washed it is really light brown. He still has a pretty laid back personality but lets us know if he is hungry or tired. We love his smiles and watching him learn new things. Last night we had fun watching him scoot along the floor like a caterpillar. We love you Ollie!
