Father's Day

So I am trying to catch up... here we go!
Here are some pictures from Father's Day. We spent the afternoon and evening at Dad and Mom's house. I remember being pretty miserable and being anxious because I thought I was going to be induced the next day. We are so thankful for two wonderful fathers that are great examples of Godly men. Thanks for all you do... we love you both so much!

Oliver Andrew Wiese

We are super excited to announce the birth of our son Oliver Andrew Wiese! He was born June 24th at 7:18am and weighed 9lbs 2oz. He was 22 1/2 in long and has big hands and feet:) After 24 hours of labor and 5 hours of pushing we were so happy to welcome him into this world and our lives. He is such a sweet good baby, I couldn't have asked for better! Hopefully I will have time to write more soon and post more pictures (maybe today!?) Here are a couple hospital pictures for now...

Today is the day...

and no our baby is not here YET! I am hoping and praying that it comes asap! I am starting to get pretty uncomfortable and still just itchy itchy itchy. Uggg... I had an appointment yesterday and I'm still only dilated to about 2cm. The heartbeat was 146 and the head is still down! We are just waiting and some days are dragging on because we don't really want to start any projects before the baby comes. I am so thankful that school is out so Andrew is home with me for the summer! We are just praying for a safe delivery and a healthy baby. I'm pretty sure I will be induced on Monday if I haven't had the baby before then. We are so excited and can't wait too much longer!

One week left... hopefully less...

I am 39 weeks and can't wait to have this baby! Things are going really well besides the itching still, it is driving me crazy! I guess I am having a little trouble sleeping some nights but I know that God is just preparing me for the nights to come:) At my appointment yesterday I was only dilated to 2 cm. The heartbeat was 148 and she said my baby is getting big (hopefully not too big)! My midwife is going to be gone next week over my due date so she did try to strip my membranes to see if it would maybe make me go a little sooner... but nothing has happened yet. I finally got my "bag" packed last night (Andrew still needs to pack his:) and we have everything ready to go. Today was my last day of work and Andrew's last day is tomorrow! Hopefully not working doesn't make time go any slower! Here is a picture of a couple of days ago...

Baby Shower

On Saturday our family and friends showered our baby with many blessings! My Aunt Carol hosted it at her condo. The hostesses made an amazing brunch that consisted of breakfast casseroles, baked french toast, fresh fruit, coffee cake, and to top it off, strawberry shortcake!

Leah, Whitney, and I. I was so glad it rained so Whitney could come!
The amazing diaper cake that my friend Anna made for our baby... it was so adorable!

Before I opened gifts, Aunt Carol gave a short devotion on how mothers need to trust God with their children. It was very encouraging! Also, they had all the ladies write down advice or encouragement for my baby and they wrapped each piece of it around a candle. So when my baby is 1 it will get to open the one piece of advice. When it is 2 it will get to open two... and so on. It was such a good idea and I hope that I can keep track of the candles and remember to give them to my baby on its birthday!

The roses I got to keep and get to plant. They are beautiful!

Me with the wonderful hostesses: Nichole, Aunt Carol, Kim, Marie, and Aunt Pam.
Andrew and I feel so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends. We want to thank everyone that came and also everyone that couldn't make it but put money towards the big gifts we got. We were so surprised and excited! We can't wait for our baby to meet you all! We love you!

AJ & Abby's Open House Reception

On May 29th we went up to Lake MacBride State Park to celebrate AJ and Abby's (Andrew's sister) wedding, back here in Iowa. They got married in December out in California. It was a beautiful day and so good to see them again! Here is the beautiful couple...
We love you both and hope to see you soon!
