Yesterday Emmerson was 9 months. She is quite the cute little stinker. She is still getting into everything and still loves going up the stairs. She can't go back down them yet so she just paws at the top until I come and help her down. A couple times she has leaned over a little too far and rolled down. Good thing they are short stairs! Her new thing is walking behind things but gets mad when she runs into something and can't go anymore. She still loves music and dancing. Her newest dance moves are bouncing from her butt to one knee and shaking her head :) We took her to the Dr. a little before 9 months to talk about allergies and they didn't seem concerned. I think a lot of it was just chapped mouth and sensitive skin because she is eating a variety of foods now and seems ok! SO thankful! She actually decided she likes some baby foods but always begs to eat what we are eating. I just started stretching her feedings to every 4 hours. She likes drinking out of her sippy cup and bottle on her own and does a good job tipping her head back. Anyway, at her appointment she weighed 17 lbs and was 29 inches long. She was 30 something percentile for weight and 90 something for height. Much easier to carry around than Ollie :) She usually takes two good naps and sleeps around 12 hours at night with a feeding or two in there. She loves playing what Ollie is playing and he doesn't always like that. We are working on sharing a lot! She is a very good baby and we love her sweet scrunched up nose smile! We love you baby girl!

Des Moines
On our long President's Day weekend, we drove up to Des Moines to celebrate Dad Wiese's birthday. Saturday night, after we got there, we ate at Bang Bang which is a mongolian grill where you get to add your own ingredients. After a delicious dinner we went back to the hotel and waited in the lobby for Dad, Mom, and Anna to get there. As Dad walked in the kids held up signs that read: Happy 65 Birthday Grandpa Bob....
Surprise!....
Walking into the Lobby
Ollie holding his sign.
Doing a good job Buddy.
She thought something was funny :)
Ollie and Grandpa with the picture he painted him.
And Emmerson too.
All the Grandkids.
It was filled with fireballs, one of his favorites, and it says "growing old sucks" :)
All the kids that could make it.
On Sunday morning we went to Anna's church and then the boys went and played disc golf during nap time. After nap time Ollie finally got to go in the pool. He was freezing at first but finally warmed up and loved it!
Thanks for taking him Daddy!
After swimming we headed over to Incredible Pizza to eat and play games....
He loved driving the car by himself.
Sweet girl sat in her stroller the whole time.
Playing basketball.
He loved the motorcycle.
Emmie on the carousel.
Monday morning the Wiese kids got to share memories they had of Dad from when they were little. It was fun quality time together. One last pic of the kids with Grandma and Grandpa before we left...
After we checked out of the hotel we did a little shopping and headed home. It was such a fun weekend with family. We feel so blessed with awesome family and hopefully many more years with Dad Wiese! Thanks for all you do, all your wisdom, and your love, Dad! We love you!

Emmerson 8 Months
On the 14th Emmerson was 8 months. She is still a content baby but is our little drama queen :) She is crawling everywhere very fast, crawling up stairs, and is getting into everything. She is standing on her own for a while and taking a couple steps if she is holding on to something. She is being more vocal and loves to "dance" when she hears music. Emmie loves playing with Ollie and sometimes goes into his room to wake him up in the mornings. She still a picky eater and isn't interested in baby food. She does better with finger foods but we are trying to be careful what we give her, so we are still nursing every 3 hours. She is still chapped around her mouth and I'm wondering if it is what she is allergic to that is doing it or just sensitive skin? When she eats some foods it gets redder and blotchy, can't figure out what it may be besides milk. Talked to her nurse and I need to keep a watch on it and we will talk more at her 9 month checkup. She is taking 2 naps a day and usually sleeps 12 hours at night with 1 or 2 feedings. We love our smiley little girl...
