Labor Day Weekend

On Saturday we left for Lake Rathbun for Brook's (family friend and Leah's cousin) wedding
and to see Dustin and Leah! The wedding was beautiful even though it did rain a little.
The details were great and the reception was very fun...
Ollie eating just ketchup :)
It was very nice because we stayed in the resort that the reception was at so I went back and put Ollie to bed early. Dad and Mom did relieve me later so I could go back down (thanks guys!). On Sunday Ollie, Mom, and I took a walk and played at the water park while the men went golfing... all day!

Later on we went to a fun park we had found on our walk earlier...

We went the the BBQ on Sunday night and then headed home. We were so sad to leave Dustin and Leah but Ollie, Mom, and I get to go out and see them in Idaho at the end of October! Yahoo! Love you both :)

Grandma's House

Here are some cute pictures my mom has taken of Ollie when he is at her house...

He loves the cozy coop...
He likes tomatoes!?

Throwing shoes down the steps...
Go Hawks!
I love my Buddy.

Town and Country Days

The last weekend in August Andrew and Aaron went to a men's retreat with church. Ollie and I didn't want to stay home alone so we went up and stayed with Nichole and the kids. On Saturday morning we drove over to Mediapolis (where I grew up) and met mom at the Town and Country Days parade.

We gave the boys suckers and they were perfect the whole time :) Ollie had fun waving at everyone that went by.

We saw Cauy, Allie, and Darby driving tractors...
And Drew was on the Mediapolis Football float...
After the parade we went to the park for lunch, then to Dad and Mom's for naps, and then back up to the park for a concert, the hypnotist, and magic show. We really enjoyed the hypnotist, it was so crazy!
It was a fun weekend away but we were glad to have Andrew home on Sunday :)

Rain Barrel

On August 23rd, Ollie and I rode over to Morton, IL with Dad, Mom, and Aunt Carol to give Grandma Wuthrich her rain barrel. This is what she used before, a pan and milk jugs. The new rain barrel is to the right...
It was a beautiful afternoon and Ollie had so much fun helping Papa put the rain barrel together. He would copy everything that dad did, it was so funny...

For dinner dad took us to Ruby Tuesday's and then we headed home. We enjoyed spending time with Grandma and Aunt Mary :)

Camping

So Saturday morning, August 20th, we left Dad and Mom's with no Ollie and headed down to Lake Thunderhead. Our friends Pat and Liz had invited us and some other couples down for a weekend of fun. And that is what we had :)
Here is the whole group with some exciting news...

Yes we slept in a tent and it was actually not too bad. I brought ear plugs which worked amazingly! Next time I would love to have an air mattress :)
We had a lot of fun on the lake, catching up, playing lawn games, and eating delicious food...

singing happy birthday to Andrew...

Thanks so much for the fun weekend Pat and Liz and for all the work you put into it! We had a blast!

Our Birthdays

Andrew and I both have birthdays in August. His is the 21st and mine is the 18th, yes I am 3 days older :)
On my birthday this year, Ollie and I headed up to Nichole's house for lunch. My mom and Drew met there and they surprised me by having a little party. They sang happy birthday to me and gave me some gifts...

After lunch we headed to the pool for fun in the sun. When I got home, Andrew had made me delicious BLT's and we got to hang out for the evening. It was a wonderful birthday :)

The next day, Friday, Dad and Mom Wiese came down to celebrate both of our birthdays with us. We had fun hanging out, opening presents...
playing disc golf...

the boys played cribbage...
eating dinner and celebrating with a delicious jello cake...

After dinner we headed outside to play bocce ball before we had to leave to spend Andrew's birthday, camping :) Thanks so much Dad and Mom for driving down to celebrate with us, we love you!
