11 months

On Tuesday Ollie was 11 months. It is so crazy that in less than a month my baby will be 1! Yikes! He just keeps getting more fun and more ornery :) I love that I get to stay home with my buddy and watch him grow and learn new things. It is such a blessing. Andrew will be working for my dad this summer so I got a pool pass to the pool in my sister's town. I can't wait to see how Ollie likes it!? Andrew has also started the demo on our main bathroom. I will have to write another post about that soon. It should be a busy summer :) Here are some new things:
  • a couple weeks ago he figured out how to go down the stairs by himself (now we don't have to keep a gate up!)
  • he holds movies up to me (veggie tales or baby einstein) and makes a noise to let me know he wants to watch a movie. i usually say no... unless i need to take a shower :)
  • he has been finding our keys and pushing the red panic button because he knows it will make a noise.
  • he won't hardly eat any baby food and is nursing 2x a day. he loves spaghetti, pizza, and fruit!
  • has started throwing food on the floor!
  • gets into everything and gets around everywhere but still won't stand on his own without holding onto something.
  • he is loving his new workshop from Uncle Zach and Aunt Annika...

Ollie still loves balls and we love his sweet, cuddly, fun personality! Now to plan a party...

Mother's Day

My first Mother's Day was wonderful! Andrew made me breakfast, we enjoyed church, and then headed to my parents for lunch. We had a relaxing afternoon and then Grandpa and Grandma, Aunt Pam, and the kids came over to Dad and Mom's for dinner to celebrate. It was a beautiful day...

We are so thankful for our mothers and what a blessing they are to us and our families. I am especially grateful that I get to be called Mommy!

Jake's 1st Birthday

On May 7th, we celebrated my nephew, Jake, turning 1! We arrived at Aaron and Nichole's a little early so the boys could go play disc golf and then we had a haystack dinner. Jake had a farmyard birthday party and the cake was so adorable.

It was so fun watching him dig into his cake. It was so cute! He had to have a bath after he was done eating and Ollie jumped in with him. I'm so bummed I didn't get a picture of it and a better one of Jake on his big day!

Happy Birthday Jake! It was so fun to watch you grow the first year of your life and we are so excited to see you and Ollie become best buds :) We love you!

Easter

Our Easter celebrations got started on Thursday night as we headed up to Andrew's parents to see his brother Ben, who was home from Virginia for the week. We had fun catching up with him and hanging out with the rest of the family that could make it home (we missed the rest of you)! Friday we headed out and did some shopping and Saturday the boys went disc golfing all day while Mom Wiese watched Ollie a couple hours for me so I could enjoy shopping alone! Here is a Lego castle that Andrew and Ben spent some time building...

The grandchildren and their Easter baskets that Grandpa and Grandma labeled "Praise the Lord Buckets (if i remember correctly?).... so fun!
On Saturday night we headed down to my parents house. Dad and Drew were in St. Louis for the weekend and were suppose to fly back Sunday morning but weren't for sure if they would be able to because of the tornado that hit the St. Louis airport. Andrew and I hung out with Mom and Brock Saturday night and then headed to Easter service Sunday morning with them. Dad and Drew were able to fly out and met us back home for lunch, along with Aaron, Nichole, and the kids! We had a relaxing afternoon that included Easter baskets, an egg hunt, pellet gun shooting, and disc golf in the yard....

Ollie and Jake loved being outside but Jake wanted out of the old playpen Mom got out :) We had a yummy steak dinner. Lindsey, Brock's girlfriend, came for dinner and we got to play some more disc golf afterwards.
We are so thankful for wonderful family and the Reason for the Season! Our Savior is Risen!
